So damn cool

he got face

He do got face

@Malti as far as i am aware i also have a face, making me equally cool

understandable

Bruce Campbell is awesome. His wit, his charm and his on the point snark never fails.

I see a true genius is in the chat

@Malti Oh ya. My faves of his work outside of Evil Dead include but not limited to, Jack of All Trades and his contributions to Darkman.

i gotcha i gotcha. I've always been a fan of all of his cameos in Sam Raimi movies since he seems to cameo in all of them. Which is because... actually i don't feel like explaining because you probably already know.

@Malti Well aside from Evil Dead putting both of them on the map, from what I've gathered, they're college buddies. That said, from what I also heard, Sam loved to torture him and his brother Ted Raimi. Hence why Ted always has a gruesome character death.

Yeah. Two things: You know Bruce actually helped write the script and in Evil Dead 2 did basically all of his stunts? Also, Ted is constantly abused by Sam. In his Henrietta costume he literally had to wear for hours on end, was fucking HOT. Like to the point where at the end of a shooting day they would open the feet of the costume and just empty his suit of a bunch of sweat that just piled up in the costume. It was pretty damn gross. Bruce also twisted his ankle and was forced by Sam to keep filming! The abuse is un-ending.

@Malti I knew Bruce did his own stunts considering 2 onwards had it's fair share of slapstick comedy. Can't really accuse him of having a double when he's spending minutes on end smashing plates against his face, with his face visible. However I didn't know he helped write the script for 2. As for Ted's costume, I knew of that one. Considering Henrietta is the first of what would soon to be Ted's death and abuse roles, it doesn't surprise me that his first one as an onscreen character may be the worst out of them all. And this was a guy, whom years later had his head forced out of a manhole in oncoming traffic in Darkman.

Honestly, I don't think they could have afforded a stunt double. Almost forgot about that Darkman
Ted abuse but do you know the movie, Blood Rage? Because Ted has a very small role where he sells shitty condoms to the first victims of the movie.

@Malti Never seen Blood Rage yet, but I do keep a look out for the Raimi family and their posse in many stuff. My Name is Bruce is a personal fave of mine for Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi. Raimi gets to play multiple roles. Bruce's agent, an Italian Luigi knock off Painter who is tasked with updating the town population sign whenever someone gets killed as well as a yellowface act where he plays an ancient Chinese man who gives exposition on the monster Bruce is fighting. The Darkman one I had no idea how involved he was until after I watched the movie and watched Army of Darkness after. While Liam Neeson is no slouch and has done his fair of creepy voice as both Peyton and Darkman, I had no idea Bruce provided the ADR, but it's easy to tell them apart. The scene where Darkman cries "They took my hands!!" was Bruce Campbell for example while "The Dancing Freak" moment was both of them. Before that I only knew of Bruce as Darkman's final disguise. From what I've heard, Bruce Campbell was supposed to play Darkman, but Universal considered him too unknown. With Liam Neeson playing him in the first and Arnold Vosloo (Imhotep from the Mummy movies.) played him in the sequels.

I've always loved how much of a family project the Evil Dead movies are. About Raimi family cameos: Ted being (Newspaper guy number 1? I forget his name.) constantly bullied by J.J was funny, Bruce as the usher in Spiderman 2 always makes me laugh, and this isn't a cameo exactly but I just needed to say it, the cabin in Cabin in the Woods was based of the Evil Dead cabin. Also, feels kinda crazy that Liam fucking Neeson played Darkman. That's just weird. If I'm honest, I don't know much about Darkman or its sequels. I've watched it and liked it just not enough to look deeper. But I do know a suprising amount about Seinfeld and Looney tunes.
